Morgantown and Philip Barbour will look to extend state championship winning streaks today as West Virginia’s top cross country runners converge on Cabell Midland.
The championship races kick off at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cabell Midland. Those who are entered, both individuals and teams, are included on the state meet qualifier lists released by the WVSSAC.

Christian Brothers Academy (NJ) rolled again this weekend to retain their perch atop the rankings and add to their legend, by winning with 90 points and a course record 12:44.34 team average. But that's not all!!
New York, New York!! Manhattan was just as exciting on the boys side as three elite harriers battled to the finish. US #14 Tony Russell (West Chester Henderson PA) led the charge!

The annual Trinity/Valkyrie Invitational starts tonight with the Middle School and Elementary races which will have 1500 plus runners cruising around Tom Sawyer Park. The big action begins tomorrow morning with the high school action as several of the best teams in the nation compete head to head.
