Meet Information
The Cross Country Coaches National Youth Championships (CCCNYC) Meet will be held Saturday, November 19th, at Cabell Midland High School, the site of the West Virginia State High School Cross Country Championships and the Geico Classic Cross Country Invitational. The finish will be on the track inside the stadium.
Age Divisions:
6 to 8 - Born 2003-2005 - 2K
9 & 10 - Born 2001-2002 - 3K
11 & 12 - Born 1999-2000 - 3K
13 & 14 - Born 1997-1998 - 4K
15 & 16 - Born 1995-1996 - 5K
17 & 18 - Born on or after 11/20/92 - 5K
Individual Awards:
Individual plaques will be awarded to each of the top 25 finishers in a special awards presentation at the awards stand approximately 45 minutes after the conclusion of each race. Individual awards will be given to the top 25 finishers by age in the 6-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14 races. That is the top 25 individuals of each age based on their year of birth; 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 & 14. This means that in the 9-10 girls race there will be individual awards given to the top 25 finishers that were born in 2002 as well as the top 25 finishers that were born in 2001. This also means that there will be three sets of individual awards in both 6-8 age group races.
Individual plaques will be handed out to the top 25 girl and 25 boy finishers in the Race of America in the chute. All other finishers will receive a special medal to signify their completion of the race. Individuals that compete in the 6-8 age group races are ineligible to compete in this race.
Team Awards:
Team trophies and medals will be awarded to the top three teams in each race. Teams consist of at least five athletes and no more than eight athletes.
Awards Ceremony:
The top 25 individual awards by age and the top three teams in each race will be given their awards in a special ceremony.
