Richwood Girls Cruise; Boys Win Tough Battle WV Region III A – Charleston. Richwood girls cruised to victory with 204 points, but the Richwood boys had a hard fought victory to sweep the Region III A titles. The Richwood ladies won 7 of the 17 events with only one double winner. 2nd place went to Pocahontas County with 92 points and 3rd went to Midland Trail with 56 points. Breanna Mazella took both the 1600m (6:10.08) and the 3200m (14:04.79). Mazella placed 2nd in the 800m (2:51.19) and was a member of the winning 4 x 400m relay (4:48.63) to earn a total of 30.5 points. For some examples in domination, the Richwood ladies scored 21 points in the high jump, 20 points in the long jump, 20 in the 3200m, 18 in the 1600m, 18 in the 300m hurdles, 14 in the discus and 12 in the shot put.
