Mary Cain, who took the American distance running scene by storm beyond the high school level onto the professional and international ranks as a New York high school junior last year, will be competing in her second meet as professional runner for Nike (despite still being a high school senior) on Thursday at Boston University.

In 2012, it was a race to remember for the Midwest at the Foot Locker Cross Country Championships.
On November 30 in Charlotte, University senior Amelia Paladino became the first West Virginia girl to qualify twice for the Foot Locker National Final in San Diego. Her second-place finish in the South regional guaranteed the two-time state Class AAA cross country champion one of the 40 starting spots in the 5,000-meter race on December 14 at Balboa Park.

Amelia Paladino Qualifies for 2nd Trip to Foot Locker National Finals!
With 32 girls under 18:00 minutes for the season, the 10 qualifying spots will be up for grabs Saturday in the 34th running of the Foot Locker South Regional meet.

#4 Carmel (IN) won going away in the Nike Midwest Regional with 66 points and #12 Naperville North (IL) finished 2nd with 125 points. Also, shocker in NY as Saratoga Springs narrowly goes down.

Merinar Tops Field, Leads Bridgeport to State Championship
#19 Edina (MN) makes it into the rankings after they took out #22 Wayzata (MN) 106 to 135 at the Nike Heartland Regional as both squads will make it to nationals.
Quietly in the top-10 for a few weeks, Blacksburg (VA) looks poised for big things this weekend at the VA state champs.
