Jacob Burcham, a senior distance standout at Cabell Midland High School in Ona, WV, has made a commitment to run cross-country / track & field at the University of Oklahoma. Burcham will join fellow West Virginians, Brandon Doughty (class of 2011) and Eric Graff (class of 2012) of Jefferson High School / Shenandoah Junction, WV as Sooner teammates!

Runs track and cross country at Cabell Midland High School (WV) for coach Chris Parsons
Ran 10:14.40 for 3200 meters and a 4:33.22 (Nation Best) for 1600 meters as an eighth grader
Won the Foot Locker South Regional 13-14 Boys 3000 meter run
Set a new meet record for the boys 13-14 year old 1600 meter run at the Hershey Youth Track and Field State Meet
Won the West Virginia state cross country championship as a sophomore in 2010, as a junior in 2011 and as a senior in 2012
2010 Fastest Freshman Distance Runner in the United States: 4:14.51 for 1600 meters (1st), 9:20.34 for 3200 meters (1st), and 1:56.95 for 800 meters (3rd).
Placed third in 2010, Champion in 2011 and Runner-up in 2012 at the Trinity/Valkyrie Invitational
Was Runner-Up at the 2011 Great American Cross Country Festival
Won the 2011 Cross Country Coaches Youth National Cross Country Championship for Intermediate Boys 15-16
