The Morgantown High School girls track team won nine events and the team title, while Morgantown’s Natasha Trott (sprints) won four events to help the girls’ team to a first place finish at the Dave Ice Girls Invitational at Nelson Field in Bellaire, OH.
The Mohigan girls received first from Natasha Trott in the 100- and 200-meter dash, Allison Lynch in the 3200-meter run, Haley Holloway in the high jump, Rachel Hewitt in the pole vault, Rosa Morris in the shot put, the 4 x 100m relay of (Natasha Trott, Ashley Holloway, Haley Holloway, Knisha Baldwin), the 4 x 200m relay of (Natasha Trott, Knisha Baldwin, Haley Holloway, Rebekah Lafata), and the 4 x 800m relay of (Zoey Vilasuso, Katilyn Woods, Allison Lynch, Caroline Moore).

Steubenville High School finished in second behind Steven Blinco’s Mohigans. Steubenville’s Toshchel Demus won the 100 Meter Hurdles in 15.2 and Queen Elder won the 400-meter dash in 1:03.3.
The Morgantown girls were thirteenth in the final team standings at the 2011 AAA Girls West Virginia State Track & Field Meet, but look to be making a run at this year’s State Title.
