Drazba National Runner-Up at USATF XC Championships

Maggie Drazba of St. Mary's competing in the junior women division 6K race finished 2nd at the USA Cross Country Championships at Forest Park Central Fields in St.Louis on Saturday February 11, 2012. Her 6K time was 21:07.7. This is a little under 5:40 per mile pace or 17:36 5K. However, this would better her previous personal best of 17:40 in the 5K and she ran another 1000 meters.

Drazba was the 2011 West Virgina Runners and Gartorade Cross Country runner of the year. Drazba has 5 individual state championship titles. She swept the 800m, 1600m and 3200m at the 2011 WV outdoor track and field championships. Drazba won the 2009 WV Cross Country State Championship and  the 2011 State Cross Country Championship.
