The Running Clinic of Champions provides boys and girls, coaches, and adult runners the opportunity to receive tips, training methods, and experience \"hands on\" drills from All-Americans, world record holders, and elite coaches. The clinic is designed to improve speed, endurance, running form, technique in field events, and quickness in any sport.
Founded in 2004 by Keith Kelly, the \"Clinic of Champions\" tour presents successful athletes and coaches (with brilliant insight and experience in various athletic events) who provide key techniques and training methods to competitors of all ages. Beyond the topics of track and distance running, the clinic covers skills used in all sports. This type of clinic has been successful in Florida and Georgia for many years.

After expenses, money collected from fees along with corporate donations are given in the form of scholarships to high school boys and girls. The scholarship element of the clinic is affiliated with the Friends of Track and Field Endowment Fund (www.FOTAF.com) which is a member of the Greater Morgantown Community Trust Foundation. Anyone interested in contributing to the fund or helping in any way with the clinic is encouraged to contact RKeithKelly@yahoo.com.

The clinic was started in Clarksburg in 2004 with just over 60 participants. In 2005, the clinic expanded to three locations - Bridgeport, Parkersburg, and Charleston. At the Bridgeport site we had over 100 coaches and athletes in attendance and had two $500 scholarships awarded, one to Sara Abbate of Bridgeport H.S. and the other to Eric Ryan of Preston H.S.
