Your team will be added to the drop down menu when you contact Coach Tyler that your team plans to attend. You may register athletes for multiple events. There is currently no restriction on how many athletes may be entered into one event. In the case of a crowded event we will race split into heats. Heat sheets will be released the Thursday before the meet.
Our Track
We will be utilizing a mostly flat 400m Grass Loop. The throwing events will be held in the middle of the field. The finish line may move for some events and will be marked with flags.
Spectators/Restrooms/Concession
We will offer concessions from Joan & Joe coffee; I will send out a link for pre-orders prior to the meet. Spectators may want to bring lawn chairs, tents, and blankets as we do not have bleachers. Spectators can move inside the track area to watch field events and get closer to the finish line. Bathrooms will be located inside St. Michaels hall.
Field Events
3 attempts.
Discus will begin at 11:30 am. Then be followed by Shot Put and Javelin. Due to not having jump pits or matts we will not have horizontal or vertical jumps. Please do not walk through the center of the track during discus or javelin.
Scoring & Awards
This meet will be scored in 10-8-6-4-2, the first five runners in each race score. Relays will be scored 25-15-10 with the first three teams of each gender and level scoring. Awards are as follows:
Athlete of the meet- Boy/Girl with the most individual points scored
Team champions- Boys/Girls team with the most combined points
Relay champions- Top team in each Relay will receive a custom medal
Relays
Athletes from differing teams, genders, and levels may be combined for the relays. Scoring will be determined based on the highest level athlete in the relay (if there are 3 middle school athletes and 1 high school athlete they will be scored as HS, if there are 3 girls and 1 boy they will be scored as a boys team) the teams will split awarded points among the athletes. (if 2 athletes from team A are on a winning relay and 2 athletes from team B, each team will get 12.5 points and each athlete will earn 6.25 points towards athlete of the meet)
Order of Running Events
This is an estimate of times the schedule will be rolling. Please pay attention to announcements and current events as the meet progresses. Races will be run boys first, youngest to oldest. If there are not enough athletes per race, groups may be combined but will be scored separately.
