Four school records were broken this past weekend at Marietta College: The women\'s 4 x 400 took home first place and reset their record to 4:15.42 (Erica Farmer, Megan Farmer, Bethany Gatewood, and Karachi Mbagwu), Joey Carroll bested his long jump school record to 21\'2.75\" only to lose it to Mike Farry with a later jump of 21\'5.5\" and the victory, Megan Farmer sprinted her way into the record books with a 44.30 in the 300 meter dash, and Brook Wilson became the first Concord Female athlete to clear a height in pole vault setting her school record at 8\'.

For the meet the women placed second overall with 147 points and the men third with 131 points. Coach Cox said, \"I am happy with how we did today...We still have a lot of work to do but we showed up well.\" Bethany Gatewood tied her school record in high jump that she set last time the team went to Marietta. When asked about her performance Bethany said, \"I was glad I jumped what I did last time but I was definitely off. Next time I\'ll have my steps down better and really look to jump higher!\" Chris Herron looked good in the mile and 3k taking victories in both. Chris spoke about his wins in the mile and 3k, \"I was kind of worried about the races since we haven\'t really done any speed work but I ran well...The 3k felt better than the mile, it was more hairy than I expected.\" Overall Coach Cox said, \"We had some big performances today, this was a smaller meet so more of our athletes could stand out...John Paul took another first place home, I think that is his third of the year...Ellen really had some good jumps, and our women relay teams really came out strong. They are going to be tuff to beat come the conference championship.\"
