West Virginia Outdoor Breakthrough Performances: Week of April 20

West Virginia high school track and field athletes posted personal bests across multiple events during the week of April 20.

Auric Booker (Riverside, Belle) ran 2:11.52 in the boys' 800 meters at the 60th Capitol City Classic on April 25, improving from his previous best of 2:26.39 set in May 2024. The mark ranks #140 in West Virginia and Booker finished 8th of 39 competitors.

Elizabeth Edgyll (Brooke, Wellsburg) clocked 11:52.65 in the girls' 3200 meters at the Brooke Relays on April 24, breaking her previous PR of 12:40.22. The sophomore's time set a school record and ranks #19 in the state and #2 among sophomores.
