(WHEELING, W.VA.)---Wheeling Jesuit's Aaron Rosier claimed the WVIAC men's decathlon championship for the third team, while Concord's Karachi Mbagwu won the league's women's heptathlon to open the WVIAC Track & Field Championship.
Rosier compiled 6092 points to easily outdistance West Virginia Wesleyan's Ricky Kump (5591). Concord multi-sport athlete Dustin Greenwood finished third with 5505 points.
Wesleyan's Katie Schubert finished second in the women's event with 3306 to end up 277 points behind Mbagwu. Justine Albert of Seton Hill placed third at 2843.
Team points from the event will carry over to the primary portion of the WVIAC Track & Field Championship next week at Wheeling Jesuit.
