This competitive, yet social race will start at 9:30AM at Williamstown High School in Williamstown, West Virginia. Following the race there will be food/refreshments in the Williamstown HS cafeteria. Everyone is welcome to come out and participate…
Ryan Jobes was one of Williamstown\'s most talented, well respected, and humble track and field athletes. After finishing his stellar career at WHS he attended the University of Richmond and was a standout on the track & field team his freshman year. Ryan spoke to people by name and always extended a warm hand of true sportsmanship to his competition. Ryan passed away in a car accident last December at the age of 19. Though he is no longer here in body, his spirit will live on in his friends, family, teammates and all who encountered him.
The \"Ryan Jobes Scholarship Fund\" has been set up by Ryan's family at his high school in West Virginia. The 5K race will befit this fund which awards a $1000 scholarship each year to a deserving senior at Williamstown High School to assist with his or her college education.
Members of the Williamstown community and the University of Richmond are organizing this race. 100% of the donations gathered in entry fees will be given to \"Ryan's Scholarship Fund\" and are tax deductible.
Come out and enjoy the race before going Christmas Shopping…
Please let me know of any questions…
My best regards,
Steve Taylor
