Marian Brooks, a senior, from Marshall University and a graduate of Pikeview High School out of Princeton, WV finished 2nd at the 34th annual Furman University Corss Country Invitational held on the Furman University Golf Course in Greenville SC. Brooks covered the 5K course in 18:36 and finished behind Sarah Coghlan of the University of North Florida. The ladies finished 10th overall. The men took 6th and were led by Poca High School graduate and sophomore Matt Null's 25th place finish with a time of 26:51 on the 8K course.
