23. Annie Heffernan (OH)
Annie Heffernan finished her high school career in Ohio as an 8-time state champion in cross country and track at St. Ursula Academy in Cincinnati. Nationally, Heffernan was a two-time New Balance Nationals All-American in the two mile including a 10:12 PR from her 2014 third place finish at indoor nationals.
Heffernan didn't have the opportunity to finish her cross country season as a state champion again due to injury, but came back late in the indoor season to win state titles both indoor and outdoor. She really thrived at the mile/1600 distance in her final track season including a big win in the mile at the Loucks Games in 4:49, while running a 4:49 1600 in last Ohio State Meet.
