Morgantown Girls Win Another Out of State Large Meet

The Morgantown ladies have ventured into Pennsylvania and now Virginia and have taken team victories in large out of state meets.

The Octoberfest Invitational held at Great Plains, VA is one of the most prestigious meets in the area and brings out many good schools. On Saturday October 1 and competing in the Varsity A division the ladies from Morgantown slam dunked the field and brought home their 2nd out of state win in 3 weeks. The Mohigans scored 91 points to win easily over traditional Virginia power Blacksburg who gathered 145 points. Leading the way for the ladies was freshman Victoria Cooke who navigated the tough course in 19:01. Brynn Harshbarger, a junior, who led the way for Morgantown at the Red, White, and Blue Invitational which the ladies won placed 2nd on the team in 19:25.

The Morgantown boys placed 21st in the Varsity A race and was led by junior Cameron Greza’s 30th place finish in 16:54.
