Concord University High School Invitational
Saturday October 4th
Pipestem State Park, Pipestem WV
Course Description: The course is deceivingly harder than it looks, mainly rolling hills, with long gradual grades you dont really think are up hill until you run them. There is one bigger hill on the course, but its only about 200 meters long. The course is 99% grass with three road crossings. The course will be open to run the day before the meet, all day. I will be at the course at 3:30 for anyone who will want a map of the course the day before. Maps will be available the morning of as well.
Start times: The women will run first at 10AM (5k) men will follow at 10:45AM (5K)
Entries: Email entries to coxm@concord.edu no later than Tuesday September 30th. There will be unlimited entries per team. Please let me know if you intend to run as soon as you can, this will give me an idea of how many teams we can expect.
Entry Fee: 50 dollars per team (Men and Women are separate) Make Checks payable to: CU Foundation. You can pay with cash the morning of as well.
Awards: Top 10 individuals in each race will receive awards. 1st and 2nd place teams will receive awards.
Porto-Johns will be available on-site
Lodging: There are cabins and hotel rooms in Pipestem State Park. Pipestem has food at the main lodge. Too, there are several places to stay in Princeton off of exit 9 on interstate 77.
Food: There are several places to eat in Princeton, off of exit 9 on interstate 77. Ginos in Athens is another option.
