Jacob Burcham of Cabell Midland ran a personal best 4:07.20 full mile to finish 2nd at the Brooks PR Invitational on Sunday in Seattle Washington at the Dempsey Indoor Stadium.

Not trying to stir up a controversy, but the tape is behind the finish line and it appears Burcham is ahead at the white finish line, but appearance can be deceiving. However, the angle is not correct to confidently say there is an error. In the video it looks like Burcham was nipped at the line, and they probably got it right. In the top photo, Burcham is in the shadow of Dickson. Anybody have a better angle?
Also, looks like the shadow cast by Jacob is continuous beginning from his foot. But, looks like only 1 shadow. Still not conclusive. Wish we had finish line photos to be sure they were looking at the right spot.
In the 2nd photo they are clearly about a yard past the finish line and the tape still is not broken. Dickson is obviously ahead by a fraction of a second. Just look at the shadows. He may have been ahead at the line. I am sure they got it right, but man .02. That's o.k. Jacob is just a junior and he is the best in the country. Watching that 4 minute mark in the future is going to be fun. He has 2 more seasons and 2 more summers to get it done.
