Finishes 36th Cody Pelliccioni nearing the finish at Foot Locker Nationals For Cody Pelliccioni--the lone West Virginian to qualify for Foot Locker Nationals—it was a tough day as he finished 36th in a field of 40 runners at Balboa Park in San Diego Saturday morning.

Jules sets high jump and 300-meter school record FINDLAY, Ohio – Vanessa Jules of the Marshall University women’s track and field team broke her own school record in the high jump and also set a school record in the 300-meter dash at the Oiler Open Saturday afternoon hosted by Findlay University. Coming off a freshman season where she was crowned a Junior All-American, Jules picked up right where she left off opening the 2010-11 season. The Silver Springs, Md., native won the high jump with a height of 5-9 ¼ which broke her own school record of 5-8 ½ set last outdoor season. She would then double-back in the 300-meter dash as she took second place overall, breaking Taneshia Becton’s school record of 41.78 set in 2001. Jules crossed the line in a time of 41.50.
Carrier Posts BIG EAST Standards By Kelly Tuckwiller for MSNsportsNET.com December 04, 2010 05:20 PM MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Senior Chelsea Carrier led the West Virginia University track and field team this afternoon after posting three BIG EAST Championship qualifying standard finishes at the WVU Holiday Classic. The Buckhannon, W.Va., native earned her first qualifying time with a first-place showing in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.52. She then returned later in the afternoon to post her second and third qualifying standards with a second-place finish in the 200-meter dash (25.45) and a first-place finish in the high jump (1.70-meters).

Burcham earned third team All-America Status with his sixteenth place finish in a time of 16:44.9.Only the top 21 runners are given the honor of All-American - 1st-7th (1st team), 8th-14th (2nd team), and 15th-21st (3rd team). There were sixteen seniors, three juniors, and 2 sophmores in this elite group. With the sixteen seniors graduating, Jacob will be retuning in the number three spot.
