Due to a lack of interest in both the WVU Invitational (Saturday, January 9th), and the WV Flyers Winter Series #2 (Friday, January 8th) the meets are cancelled. With many schools still out of session following the holiday break, most teams and individuals are not travelling that weekend. WVU will still be hosting the State Farm Games on Jan. 23rd, as well as the #3 and #4 meets of the WV Flyers Winter Series. For those who had either shown interest in competing or were thinking of competing in either the Jan 8th or Jan 9th meet, please think of entering the WVU meets later in the season.
Indoor Track Season began this weekend and most West Virginia Universities and Colleges opened their Indoor Track schedule at various meets. TheThundering Herd from Marshall University participated in the Oiler Opener held at the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio. West Virginia University Mountaineers hosted the WVU Holiday Classic. In addition to WVU, others participating were Glenville State College, West Virginia Wesleyan, and WVIAC member Seton Hill. The Marietta College First Glimpse had WVIAC members Concord University, Mountain State University, University of Charleston, and West Liberty State College. Check out the results.
