Rising 8th grade high jump star, Carly Hinkle finished 2nd at the 2012 USATF National Junior Olympics in the 13-14 girls high jump setting a new personal record jump of 5’ 5”. Hinkle finished runner-up to New Yorker, Shayla Broughton, the daughter of former NFL great quarterback Randall Cunningham. Hinkle's jump was tied for the 4th best high jump in West Virginia this year. Hinkle is 13 years old and will be turning 14 in September. This fall she will be attending Winfield Middle School in the 8th grade. Hinkle's parents are Ron and Tara Hinkle of Scott Depot.
