Dante Price Is A Double Winner

Dante Price swept the short sprints by winning the 200 meter dash in 21.59 (surprising some Michigan & Ohio sprinters).  Price a junior from Jefferson High School won the 100 meter dash on Saturday in 10.87. On June 14th, Price finished 5th at the New Balance Outdoor Nationals in the 200m in 21.32. This AAA runner was a double state champion in the 100m and 200m at the West Virginia Track and Field Outdoor Championship.

Ramone Garnett won the 13-14 boys Shot put, Karly Hinkle won the 13-14 girls high jump and Barkley Castro got her second gold in the 17-18 girls 800. This meet is a national qualifying meet for the 2012 USATF National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships to be held at Morgan State Univesity in Baltimore, Maryland on July 23-29.

The Striders added another 9 qualifier by finishing in the top 5 of their events.
