Peter Schwarzenberg Signs With Lehigh University

Preston High Cross Country and Track & Field athlete, Peter Schwarzenberg, will sign his national letter of intent to run for Lehigh University on Thursday, February 9th.  Lehigh is a private university located in Bethlehem, PA that competes at the NCAA Division I level in athletics.  Schwarzenberg will major in engineering. 

Schwarzenberg earned all-state honors this past fall by finishing 3rd at the 2011 AAA Cross Country State Championship.  Led by Schwarzenberg, the Knights finished 3rd overall as a team.  He also earned all-state honors in track by finishing 6th in the 3200 meter run at the 2011 AAA State Track & Field Championship.

Schwarzenberg is now the seventh Preston High runner to compete at the Division I Level.  He now joins male runners Josh Feather (Marshall) and Eric Ryan (Cornell / Tennessee) and females Ari Kasprowicz (Syracuse), Jordan Hamric (WVU), Kaylyn Christopher (WVU), and Karly Hamric (WVU).
