Keyser spins out of Region II with two team titles

            The Keyser Golden Tornado girls’ team had top three finishes in all five of the relay events and squeaked past Berkley Springs for the team title. The team of Alexis Spitzer, Allison Evans, Erica White and Sharia Hernandez won the 4x100-meter relay. The foursome also ran a two second season-best to win 4x200-meter with a time of 1:49.77. Hernandez was also apart of the victorious 4x400-meter relay which finished just ahead of Grafton in 4:26.93. Keyser headed back to the eastern panhandle with two team titles. However, the Keyser boys’ team dominated their competition. They were able to score 147 points. The next closest was Philip Barbour with 98. Leading the way for the Golden Tornado was senior Taven Rohrbaugh, he won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:00.33. Rohrbaugh took second in the 400-meter run. The senior teamed with Craig Westfall, Canton Whisner and Dustin Fertig to win the 4x800-meter relay.
