He flirted with the national record in the 300 all winter,but Rai Benjmain had to settle with US #2 all-time ranking in the event with his 33.17 season best. Another nice consolation prize for Benjamin was claiming his first national title in the 400 meter dash at New Balance Nationals Indoor in one of the craziest races from the meet after a Taylor McLaughlin DQ and collision at the line in a US #1 time of 46.59 for Benjamin.
