Saucony Elite 50 Team Boys | Week 10

*Editor's Note: The Saucony Elite 50 refers to the top-50 teams in the country (25 boys and 25 girls).

A few editions to the rankings, but mainly status quo this week as the heavy hitters proved they belong right where they're at.

#10 Carmel (IN) rolled to the win at the Nike Midwest Regional with 103 points with #14 St. Xavier (OH) finishing 2nd with 120 points as both teams automatically qualified for nationals in Portland.

#4 Gig Harbor (WA) held up their high ranking by dominating over #8 North Central at the Nike Northwest Regional with a score of 68 to 111 as both Washington powers will head to nationals.  #15 Central Catholic (OR) finished third and newly-ranked (#25) Nathan Hale (WA) was 4th.

#1 Christian Brothers Academy (NJ) won their Group title with ease, scoring 24 points with an 18 second spread.  With the Meet of Champs this weekend, can CBA go under 16:00 for a team average on the fabled Holmdel course?  They've come close with a 16:05 average in 2010 and a 16:04 average in 2011.

#12 Liverpool (NY) did not qualify for their state meet but came back in a big way at the NY Federation Championships to win with 75 points.  As a note, #5 Fayetteville-Manlius sat out the Fed meet as is their custom.

#6 Brea Olinda (CA) moved up a few spots in the rankings after an impressive showing at the Southern Section Prelims wtih a team score 76:14, which is #3 All-Time on the course.

#22 Corona Del Sol (AZ) see the rankings for the first time this week and compete at the Nike Southwest regional this weekend.  Can they topple American Fork, or at the very least qualify for their first trip to Portland?  We can't wait to find out!

As the season rolls along we will surely see other teams rise up in a bid to become one of the nation's best.

Stay tuned each week as we bring you the Saucony Elite 50 Team Boys every Thursday morning!
