FLASH SUMMARY BY ROLLIE JACOBS: Andrew Milliron and Jackson Jacobs led the Jefferson boys to victory at the 2nd Annual Buffalo Wild Wings Stampede at Hampshire High School in Romney.

Running in unseasonably hot conditions, Milliron raced to victory in a course record time of 17:05. He was followed to the line by teammate Jacobs (17:22). Rounding out the top five were Musselman's Shane Rigsby (17:34), Warren County (VA)'s Zach Beckner (17:38) and Preston's Colin Radabaugh (17:53).

Despite running without two of their top four runners due to injury and academic commitments, Jefferson captured the team title just ahead of Somerset (PA), 79 to 82. Warren County finished third with 92 points.

In the girls' race, Jefferson's Abby Colbert (17:34) got out fast and raced to a 20-second victory over Preston's Kaitlyn Workman (17:54). Following Colbert and Workman to the finish were Somerset's Rebecca Herwig (21:58), Jefferson's Emma Lindberg (22:08) and Washington's Destiny Harrison (22:26).

In the race for the team title, it was Somerset seizing the crown over host Hampshire in a close race, 76 to 85. The Jefferson girls took home the third-place trophy with 104 points, also racing without two of their top runners.
