About:

Kaitlyn Workman played soccer and basketball, and danced as a child and always had a desire to win. Her initial experience as a competitive runner was when she was 13 and in the eighth grade at West Preston Middle School in Masontown, WV. Kaitlyn’s favorite workouts are hill runs because they can be the most challenging. Her running career was influenced by her eighth-grade coaches, Natalie and Lucas, because they really pushed her to work hard and they helped her develop a love for running. Workman is still undecided if she will run at Foot Locker or NXN.

A Final Thought:

Upon entering high school, Kaitlyn Workman quickly became one of the top West Virginia high school female distance runners in the state. As a high school freshman, she was the individual AAA Girls Cross Country State Runner-up and also State Runner-up in the 1600 at the State Track & Field Championship. A feat that not many WV high school girls can claim. Workman has made All-State First Team a total of eight times in cross country and track combined. If that weren’t enough, she has finished second, fifth and fourth in the last three West Virginia High School AAA Girls Cross Country State Championships. That is quite an impressive resume!

Will Kaitlyn Workman’s experience finally help her win an Individual AAA Girls Cross Country State Championship? Or will she hold off the talented field for another top five finish or better for the fourth year in a row?
