Castro National Runner-up in 3000m

Update: Noah finished 7th in the 1500m in a PR of 4:51.78. The top 6 finishers were competing as 12 year olds.

His 1500m splits were as follows: 300m - 54.5, 700m - 2:14.4 (400m split - 1:19.8), 1100m - 3:35.7 (400m split - 1:21.4), and 1500m - 4:51.78 (400m split - 1:16.0)

Noah Castro the 10 year old phenom has added a national runner-up to his impressive resume this morning in the 11-12 boys 3000m in a personal best time of 10:11 at the USATF National Junior Olympics at North Carolina A&T University in Greensboro North Carolina. He competes in the 11-12 age group due to his 12/31 birthday and according to the USATF rules your age is what it is on 12/31. The winning time of 9:58.91 was set by Houston, Texas native Lucas Bourgoyne. Not to take anything away from this most impressive performance from the #1 12 year old in the country, but Noah is 1 year and 9 months his junior.
